Top Heart Surgeon: It's Like Giving Your Body A New "Battery"

We all want more energy. Now, one doctor says he’s found the secret.

According to Dr. Steven Gundry — a husband, father, and world-renowned cardiologist — tiredness and fatigue are an epidemic in America.

Fortunately, this is a problem you can easily solve at home.

Dr. Gundry — who turns 71 this year — says his secret involves a little-known food that’s been scientifically shown to "unlock" your true physical and mental potential.

How to Look Young

Here's what you can do to look younger:

First, protect your skin from the sun. UV rays cause wrinkles and age spots. Use sunscreen daily, even when it's cloudy.

Eat a healthy diet. Foods rich in antioxidants, like fruits and vegetables, can help your skin look better.

Get enough sleep. Aim for 7-9 hours each night. Good sleep helps your body repair itself.

Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water. It helps keep your skin plump and reduces the appearance of fine lines.

Exercise regularly. It improves circulation, which gives your skin a healthy glow.

Manage stress. High stress levels can age you faster. Try meditation or yoga to relax.

Take care of your skin. Use a good moisturizer and consider adding retinol to your routine. It can help reduce wrinkles.

Don't forget to smile. It's a simple way to look more youthful and approachable.

Lastly, stay positive. A good attitude can make you look and feel younger.

Remember, looking young isn't just about appearance. It's about feeling good and taking care of yourself.

By incorporating these habits into your daily routine, you can maintain a youthful appearance and feel great too.

Article of the Week

What makes us look old?

It identifies seven key risk factors: age, gender, ethnicity, air pollution, nutrition, smoking, and sun exposure.

These factors are divided into intrinsic (natural aging and genetics) and extrinsic (environmental influences).

The review found that both types of aging overlap, with external factors like sun exposure and smoking accelerating the process.

Fascinating Fact:

Certain regions, known as Blue Zones (like Okinawa, Japan, and Sardinia, Italy), have a high concentration of centenarians—people who live to be 100 or older—thanks to healthy lifestyles and strong social networks.

3 Tips to Improve your bedtime routine

Let's talk about how to get better sleep.

A good bedtime routine can make a big difference in how you feel the next day.

Here are 3 tips to help you sleep better:

  1. Avoid screens before bed

The light from phones and tablets can interfere with your sleep.

Try to stop using these devices at least an hour before bed.

Instead, read a book, do some stretching, or just relax.

This can help your body prepare for sleep.

  2. Create a good sleep environment

Make your bedroom comfortable for sleep.

Keep it cool, dark, and quiet.

Blackout curtains can help if your room gets a lot of light.

If you live in a noisy area, a white noise machine or app might help.

  3. Keep a consistent schedule

Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, even on weekends.

This helps regulate your body's internal clock.

It might be hard at first, but your body will adjust over time.

Some other helpful tips are: Take a warm bath or shower before bed to help you relax; Do some gentle stretching to ease muscle tension; Write down any thoughts or worries to clear your mind.

I've been using these tips myself and it's made a big difference.

I'm sleeping better and even noticing improvements in my skin.
